Nachos a la Ortega

There's no quicker or more savory 'finger food' than these Nachos a la Ortega. Served hot and dripping with melted cheese these nachos will satisfy your hungry guests.

Additional topping suggestions: ORTEGA Thick & Chunky Salsa, sour cream, guacamole, sliced ripe olives, chopped green onions, chopped fresh cilantro

SPREAD beans over bottom of large ovenproof platter or 15x10-inch jelly-roll pan. Arrange chips over beans. Top with cheese and jalapeņos.

BROIL for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with salsa and sour cream and/or additional topping suggestions.

Comments: Great. To rate excellant, fry wedges of flour tortillas and add shredded chicken, black olives, chopped onions, chili, and cheddar cheese. I used the recipie as a suggestion and added the extras. My grand kids (verrrrry picky) loved it and asked for more (most unusual). Serve salsa and sour cream on the side. Needless to say, I'll do this again.

Comments: l think that this recipe is fantastic. I had to to a school project for food technology and we had to pick a food from a country so l picked Mexico and l choose to cook Nachos and this web site was very good to get ideas about Mexican foods. Thanks Guys...
